Style: Bandeau Bodice
Knowledge level: Beginner to Intermediate.
Size: S/M/L
Options: Gathered or pleated sweetheart. Separate bandeau. Attached to skirt.

Materials: Stretch lace, ITY knit, jersey knit, rayon. Anything with a one or two way stretch, with at least 50% stretch in one direction, and good recovery (goes back to original shape after being stretched out).
Fabric Width: Approx. 58 - 60 inches (this is a standard width).
Fabric Length: 1 yard/meter
Supplies: Sewing machine – domestic or industrial, serger (optional), fabric, fabric scissors, tailors chalk, pins, thread, measuring tape.

Info: This is a simple, basic bandeau with a center seam down the back, and no side seams. It can be cut as one width, or if you would like the back narrower than the front (this is a nicer shape), then you can do some tapering near the center back.
Variation: This can be added to a skirt, or it can be finished as a separate piece. Another variation would be to gather or pleat the center front for a sweetheart look. You can also use the bandeau as a base and add flowers, ruffles, lace collars, or add sleeves or straps.

- Tutorial comes with pattern, fabric info, pattern info, cutting and construction directions, printing guide, measurement guide, etc.

- This bodice can be attached to a skirt, or finished with elastic at the bottom, for a separate or removable bandeau.

- By using a simple bandeau as a base, you can then create many different design features, such as: ruffles at the top, fabric flowers on the bodice, adding a lace collar, adding infinity straps or straps that tie at one shoulder, the options are endless.
